The Ironman 70.3 Boulder competitors stroke their way through a one-loop, 1.2 mile-swim, followed by a 56-mile bike ride that takes racers up rolling hills and then the 13.1-mile run course loops twice within the Boulder Reservoir on mostly packed gravel trails and road. Scant shade leaves athletes vulnerable to the sun for the majority of the route. Volunteer support is plentiful, often with themed aid stations providing both nourishment and motivation to athletes on their journey. The famous Boulder Flatirons serve as the finish line backdrop.

Bransby completed the swim in 34:45 with a pace of 1:47/100 and placed 50th in his division.
The 13.1 miles on the run took 3:02:21 which averaged a pace of 13:55/mi (this super slow pace - over an hour slower than it should have been - was due to an upset stomach)...with a total time of 6:36:21 for this triathlon.
Way to go, Bransby!

Awesome race Bransby! Congratulations from the Hallmarks!
