Our move was conducted in three stages:
1) move the items that were in storage from our condo in CDM into the new place - Jan 8
2) air shipment from Singapore which was only 11 boxes of clothing and other incidentals - Jan 14
3) sea shipment from Singapore which filled a 40-foot shipping container with the things we acquired while in Asia - Jan 21
In total, we had 333 boxes/items in the container.
Lessons learned while unpacking:
1) go thru all of your items and downsize and discard BEFORE packing and moving
2) if you haven't used an item in the last 18 months, you probably will never use it
3) as much as we loved Singapore, we are not moving again; if we were to move back to Asia we will do the wise thing and rent furniture while we are there
